Talgon

Once a bustling planetwide megalopolis belching toxic emissions from factories, vehicles, and livestock, Talgon civilization was crushed in the wake of enormous floods triggered by global warming. The resulting planetary archipelago took gigapargs to rebuild its society, achieving a fragile equilibrium. When a transport vessel carrying vital corporate and military data was lost, that equilibrium shattered amid a wave of finger pointing and accusations. The resulting civil war has devastated local livestock supplies. Fortunately for Mooncursers, humanitarian efforts can also be profitable. A Noah Bonus for pairs of identical live animals doubles their base value (but only once per species).

tamo

Unit of volume equal to the capacity of a single tribonium stein at the Pargeon Taproom.

Tanisha Little

Tanisha Little is often seen performing the elbow trick on the streets of Azbar Island. For 50 ceds she'll give you a private performance, but remember to stretch before your appointment.

Teeler out

To Teeler out is to perform an extremely risky maneuver in Wolf's Tooth involving multiple inversions. The maneuver all but guarantees victory if the player survives. It is named after Edward Teeler who was the first person to successfully perform it and survive. Although it flatly denies the rumor, it is widely suspected that Noble Snakes Academy will agree to teach this maneuver to its most talented and enterprising students for a cut of future Wolf's Tooth winnings.

telepathic cat

Thanks to gengineering, the old joke about cats being telepathic but too haughty to deign to communicate with us is now at least half right. Researchers were initially overjoyed when their thirty sixth test subject finally communicated telepathically. Then they noticed the cat wasn't speaking to *them*, and realized their first thirty five "failed" attempts were actually successful--the cats had merely never deemed the researchers worth talking to and were subsequently released, thereby introducing the genetic modifications into the general population. The phrase "as useful as a telepathic cat" entered the vernacular shortly thereafter.

teleskates

Teleskating, the art of skating the telewaves, has become the newest rage across the galaxy. Cabro Snoodle, the maverick trillionaire, was waiting out a telestorm, when he decided to put on a pair of skis and jumped through his private portal. He barely made it through to the other side, but later described it as the ride of his life. After 10 years of research and development, thousands of engineers, millions of cedricks, and complete radio-silence, teleskates were released as the shock of the century. Teleskates, while still expensive to obtain, are quite common on Analor V and other luxury planets. Cabro Snoodle has given it up entirely, what with the Canary Incident and all.

THEATER

Welcome to Apogee Consolidated's 45th and greatest theater! Grab some popcorn, take a seat, and sit back- you're in for a show!

HINT subsystem engaged. Notifications activated.

THESEUS TWO

A rocky planet blanketed by treacherous bluffs and twisty canyons. The electromagnetic interference in the planet's atmosphere makes navigational instruments useless, forcing pilots to plot their courses well in advance of approach. Theseus Two enjoyed brief fame some time ago in the wake of the whole Fastan Lous saga. Travelers should be advised that as of last contact, the colony on Theseus Two was in the grip of an Andovian flu epidemic. Horst Wiffle was reportedly caught in the outbreak, which is something you just don't need to think about.

Theseus Two is at [47.4860 N, 122.3071 W].

Thornak Descent

The Thornak Descent is the final approach into the Lynchton System. It was designed by the Montevoid to prevent intrusions into their laboratory in the system. It has only recently been successfully navigated by galactic cruisers, and anything larger than a Smitherman class cruiser is most certainly too large to make the descent.

TILES

Data processing is in progress. As the HINT system makes discoveries, you will be notified of any insights you are about to have.

Tolt

A fiercely independent people who take pathological pride in their uniqueness, making sure to point out their achievements and unusual traits to anyone who will listen. Ironically, for outsiders this creates a universal commonality among all Tolt: mind-boggling dullness.

The Tolt's passion for populating their museums does create financial opportunity for the enterprising Mooncurser in the form of the Museum Bonus. Each set of five different RARE items earns a bonus of 30 cedricks. Sets of six instead earn 40, while sets of seven are worth 50.

TRACTOR

Once a craggy ball of rock with no atmosphere, Tractor was one of the first planets terraformed specifically for agricultural use. Food and drink are readily available there, and Mooncursers have been known to gather and test their skills against each other in friendly competition.

Tractor is located at [48.1633 N, 122.1505 W]

TREES

Data processing is in progress. As the HINT system makes discoveries, you will be notified of any insights you are about to have.

tribonium

Tribonium is a heavy, blue-veined, toxic metal that generates one megarad of omnicron radiation per unit. The combination of tribonium's radioactivity and its high level of conductivity make it a vital component of most interstellar spacecrafts' fuel systems and mini-bars, which helps explain why most shipboard engineers carry a cocktail jigger beside their hyperspanner.

Tronspark System

Originally settled by Neo-Amish, the technology in the Tronspark System remains strictly analog. Forget about taverns or brothels--entertainment is limited to the like of bake-offs, sack races, and competitive whittling. Tronspark natives are wild about opera, a musical form all but extinct in civilized space.

The Tronspark System doesn't get much in the way of visitors.

Truegold

Truegold, a branded form of common gold trademarked by the Fendari Mining Consortium, is chemically identical to any other gold found anywhere in the galaxy. So why does it command such a premium? Truegold is surface-treated with a nanotech additive which, at random intervals of anywhere between 10 seconds and and an hour, produces a tell-tale sparkle and "ting!" sound. Truegold's additive can be customized to sparkle on cue (such as at the sudden exposure to light), making it incredibly popular in the dentistry and secret treasure vault industries.

Trustworthy Corporation

In the wake of the Canary Incident, multiplanetary corporations like Profit Ltd., InvestCorp., and Sandwich Stop found themselves at the center of scandal, investor doubt, and financial ruin. Galactic Consortium swept in and picked up the pieces for a song, combining and rebranding the businesses as Trustworthy Corporation. With its new public image of homespun business homilies and downhome sandwich wholesomeness, Trustworthy Corp. leapt to the top of galactic exchanges and the Lunchmeat 100.

Tyheend

Pioneers of Snuff Rock, in which a member of the band commits suicide in a flamboyant manner at the conclusion of every concert. Snuff Rock is outlawed throughout the galaxy, making it the most popular thing to happen to music since the Sensuotone Bodysuit. Tyheend is particularly known for its creativity--in over three hundred concerts, no two members have offed themselves in the same way. Some critics argue that the band peaked long ago, when drummer Kenzix--who also held a degree in astrophysics--created an artificial singularity in the Bodan system's sun during an extended solo and perished, along with the audience, in the ensuring supernova.
