GalactoChef
GalactoChef, the highest rated reality-show in the galaxy is a three-day marathon cookoff. Three contestants must prepare from scratch a 15-course meal starting only with raw materials. These raw materials include base plant life and animals that must be cloned to avoid violating bans on harming first-order life. Contestants spend the first two days deftly manipulating heat lamps and cloning machines to bring the ingredients to the right level of maturity. Next comes the wheel of change, where each ingredient might get turned over to a competitor or forfeited to the judges for impromptu sampling, based on the luck of the spin. Finally they must prepare the meals without the use of heat or water, while audience members are permitted to throw additional ingredients into the mix! Despite all of this, the contestants final products are usually quite delicious and usually start new eating trends across the galaxy! The success of these melanges inspired the Mooncursers' Straight Bonus. For each attribute (ANIMAL, VEGETABLE, MINERAL, MANUFACTURED, SEX, RARE, DANGEROUS, UNETHICAL, DRUG, FOOD), any group of at least five items having that attribute and consecutive quality values earns a bonus equal to their combined base values. Each item can be part of only one set per attribute.

Glattery
A Smitherman class cruiser, the Glattery was the first ship to safely return from the collection of asteroids now known as the Glattery Frontier. Its unprecedented success is attributed to the fact that the crewmembers were only allowed to sleep for 10 minutes at a time, spent an hour each day in the primal scream chamber, and were fed only lint.

Glattery Frontier
The Glattery Frontier is a collection of asteroids just beyond the edge of the Confed. It is an extremely hostile environment that very few have survived. It is named for the Glattery, a Smitherman class cruiser, which was the first ship to reach it and return.

GO
One new feature of the 42nd edition is the Handbook Intelligent Neural Tracer. It sifts through your unconscious thoughts and detects any brilliant ideas just below the surface. Bear in mind that this is a very new feature and in some circumstances the discovery may be reported after it has already occurred to you. Data processing is in progress. As the HINT system makes discoveries, you will be notified of any insights you are about to have.

Goth Nation
Political cabal advocating nocturnal work hours, abolishment of electric lights, and cosmetic gender equality. While the Goth Nation's rhetoric and rap anthem espouse a glass-half-empty aesthetic, their parties are unquestionably glass-half-full.
