kurgle
A very large, flightless bird with muted yellow feathers, native to Linar. Kurgles are ordinarily dangerous creatures, but will rarely leave the nest while sitting on eggs, which they incubate at temperatures approaching 135 degrees C. The eggs are widely regarded as the perfect vehicle for a nice creamy tarragon and rouce nut sauce, but very difficult to retrieve. The only known way to successfully gather kurgle eggs is by first slipping a pair of scorching hot andirons underneath, which they seem to find very soothing. It is wise to be far away when the switch is discovered.
