One new feature of the 42nd edition is the Handbook Intelligent Neural Tracer. It sifts through your unconscious thoughts and detects any brilliant ideas just below the surface. Bear in mind that this is a very new feature and in some circumstances the discovery may be reported after it has already occurred to you. Data processing is in progress. As the HINT system makes discoveries, you will be notified of any insights you are about to have.

PERGOBELLUM
Found only in certain highly advanced species, the pergobellum is the division of the brain responsible for perceiving one's environment as music. Pergobellum is also the name given to the planet where the first such advanced species evolved. Beings on Pergobellum hear different shades of red and sense the tempo of the summer breeze, but are temperamental and notoriously averse to hard labor. Industry and agriculture are nonexistent on Pergobellum, and the population pays handsomely for imported fruits and vegetables to supplement their meager homegrown supplies. Trade agents offer Mooncursers a Harvest Bonus of one cedrick for the first unique vegetable in a cargo bay, two cedricks for the second, three cedricks for the third, and so forth. Pergobellum is at Galactic Positioning Coordinates [48.7654 N, 122.4858 W].

DIAMOND STAR
The highest grade on the electromagnetic shielding scale. To date, a diamond star has been awarded to only one company, Trustworthy Corporation, for their Brown Owl brand of telewave components. So strong is this shielding that when a Talgonian courier transport vanished in the Bigrock system, the Brown Owl transponder containing financial and security data could not be located, igniting a civil war that has raged for thirty megapargs. Talgonian search parties continue to scour the Bigrock system, located at [48.7689 N, 122.4209 W].

SHREDMART
ShredMart (a fully-owned subsidiary of Galactic Consortium) is the one stop shop for all your evidence disposal needs. Incriminating internal memos? Not a problem! Cooked financial records? Shred 'em and fuhgeddem. Holorecs of your "private" calls the night you awoke to a blood-spattered call girl and a bloody knife? Burned. ShredMart erases your problems and removes your burdens, freeing you to focus on your business. For a limited time, ShredMart is pleased to sponsor a Focus Bonus of twenty-five cedricks for each set of four identical items (MANUFACTURED items not included) a Mooncurser brings in. ShredMart's regional headquarters is located at [48.4362 N, 122.3126 W].

LUCIFER
The Lucifer Expanse (Lucifer for short) is the backwater of the galaxy, a region of space whose magnetic distortions and space-time anomalies confound instruments, forcing captains to resort to more basic navigational techniques using older Vector(tm)-series engines. The key to safely traversing the region is Thanatos IV. Knowing its location vastly simplifies navigation. The Lucifer Expanse is located at [48.3414 N, 122.3404 W] As of press time, our correspondent had not yet filed a report from Lucifer. Consequently only these facts about the region, from the last successful report in the fourteenth edition of the Handbook, are known: 1. Thanatos IV, which shares a sector with Tabasqo VII, has no adjacent neighbors in the same sector or orbital level. 2. Arrettsay IV and V are on opposite sides of the Expanse, one orbital level apart. 3. All planets in the eastern sector have the same number of letters and all but the topmost planet are in alphabetical order from top to bottom. 4. Planets in the same sector are either all numbered, or all unnumbered. 5. Roman numerals in a sector's planet names always increase from top to bottom, and never match their orbital level. 6. The planets beginning with R are diagonally aligned with each other and Oberon. 7. The planets at the eighth orbital level are, collectively, 14 fleems from the center of the Expanse and are all closer than 5 fleems away. 8. The planets at the ninth (bottom) orbital level are a total of 17 fleems away. 9. Verga and Freemiller are in the top third of Lucifer. 10. The planets in the NW sector have the same number of letters.

SIGNPOST
The ancient navigation beacon has fallen apart. You'll need to reassemble it to have any hope of navigating the Lucifer Expanse. Data processing is in progress. As the HINT system makes discoveries, you will be notified of any insights you are about to have.

TRACTOR
Once a craggy ball of rock with no atmosphere, Tractor was one of the first planets terraformed specifically for agricultural use. Food and drink are readily available there, and Mooncursers have been known to gather and test their skills against each other in friendly competition. Tractor is located at [48.1633 N, 122.1505 W]
