This clue was located at an art installation on the UW Bothell campus. The Codex is a courtyard with binary and gattaca engraved into some of the stones. The engravings were arranged like so:

The instructions refer you to part three of the art installation, which consists of bronze books set into nearby rock walls. Many of the books have animals on them. One book is shared by a moth and a SLUG.
